ABSTRACT

The mobility restriction during the COVID-19 pandemic did not stop the public from expressing their opinions. Since they could not go on demonstrations, they moved democracy to the digital sphere, such as on Twitter. Previous research has shown that Twitter users in Indonesia use the platform to express political views and opinions on governmental issues. The issue of the Nationalism Knowledge Test (TWK) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was a trending topic on Twitter for a while. The issue spurred discussions on Twitter when 75 employees did not pass the KPK-TWK on May 2021. The discussion then stopped for a moment before picking up again during the official dismissal of the employees on 30 September 2021. This article focuses on the social network analysis of the public's responses to this issue on Twitter. Social network data were collected using Drone Emprit from May to October 2021 and analyzed using Gephi to generate graphical representations of the social networks. The results reveal the structure of the movement was centralized and dynamic. Regarding the dissemination of information, the most central was news media and anti-corruption activists' accounts. These accounts mobilized the community on Twitter to make a critical social movement. This means that the digital sphere can be an evolution of democracy form and activism, especially in the anti-corruption movement. © 2022 Rev. Archai. All rights reserved.

ABSTRACT

The issues caused by diseases can affect a country’s policies. One example is COVID-19, which broke out in December 2019. COVID-19 spread quickly across the globe. The purpose of this study is to analyze disease issues that can threaten the security of a country. A second aim is to identify the neoliberal response of countries, especially Indonesia. Third, we seek to explore the strategies conducted by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. Indonesia’s policymakers recognize the adverse effects of the health crisis on the national agenda. Those must be seriously confronted. The threats to health and national security posed by the effects of the virus have forced policymakers to cooperate with each other. The current research finds that not only Indonesia, but countries around the world are threatened due to the consequent vulnerability to all aspects of security—national, economic, and academic. Through the involvement of institutions that are able to build bridges between nations, neoliberalism emphasizes an international political system that is based more on international cooperation and less on powerful interests. © Common Ground Research Networks, Seniwati, Dwia Aries Tina Pulubuhu, Andi Alimuddin Unde, All Rights Reserved.

ABSTRACT

Visually impaired people are often associated with various complex problems because they are considered unproductive even for daily health, so that daily health literacy is needed. The most needed aspects for visually impaired people are balanced nutrition, covid-19, and information on the nearest health service. The location of the difference in health literacy between people who see and people with visual impairment is accessibility. The purpose of this study is to describe the Participation Action Research (PAR) Protocol on Daily Health Literacy Using Voice Recognition Applications for visually impaired people in Indonesia. We will conduct a study using the Mixed Exploratory method, which is a method that in the early stages of research uses qualitative methods and the next stage uses quantitative methods. The mixing of the data of the two methods is connecting between the results of the first and subsequent studies. This exploratory type is a sequential model (sequence). The research stages are divided into three starting from pre-intervention by conducting systematic reviews, preliminary studies, and qualitative studies, as well as application design, the second stage is intervention through two groups, namely, the intervention group carried out health literacy using voice recognition applications and the control group carried out intervention using e-mail.-book reader, the intervention is continued with assistance for the blind by partners for 30 days, the third stage is post-intervention by monitoring and evaluating behavior, and evaluating applications for evolution and publication of applications to the play store for use by visually impaired people in Indonesia.
